The Style Behind The Mallets
Emerging on to the fashion scene in 2015 with a vision of upgrading the footwear industry, reality TV star Tommy Mallet put pen to paper after struggling to find the perfect trainer for himself. Aesthetically, Mallet footwear has anchored an unmistakable identity with instant brand recognition. The ubiquitous look has been welcomed by millennials with its neutral colour pallet and array of styles. With their immaculate finish and modern chunky soles, Mallet offer contemporary designs with craftsmanship of only the finest materials.
Despite only becoming a household name within recent years, Mallet has already established itself with a set of iconic looks that quickly became wardrobe must haves. Offering the Kingsland, Popham, Diver, Hiker and the Grftr – each design is unique to one another but showcases instant brand appreciation and recognition.
Continuing to withstand the test of time and trends, the Kingsland design is the ideal combination of luxury and casual. Constructed with perforated detailing to the panels, leather lining and cushioned insoles for an extra touch of comfort, it is the sleek and streamlined toe leading to the chunky heel that defines this contemporary pair. Designed for versatility, the Kingsland pair can be styled with both joggers and jeans alike, being adapted to all styles.
Revisiting old street to break new ground, with inspiration taken from North London, Mallet deliver a fresh and new trainer design with the Popham Trainers. Paying homage to the creative directors' roots, the design is named after Popham Estate in London, where Tommy Mallet himself spent his childhood. Carefully crafted from luxury leather with monogram detailing embossed throughout, the high shine gym sole and metal clips to the heel showcase the urban persona of the brand.
Now, the Diver Trainer is the one that allowed the British born brand rise to fame. Adorned with the trademark metal clip to the heel, with a blend of premium leather and scuba used on the upper body, and a moulded footbed catering to your foot’s comfort. The iconic chunky sole delivers a dramatic look to go with any outfit, whether it be smart or casual.
Acting as the fashion houses interpretation of the classic sneaker, comes the GRFTR Trainer. Blending subtle colour pallets with luxurious fabrications, the pair detail an eye-catching silhouette with premium minimalism. With a leather upper and a more streamlined sole than the other Mallet designs, the GRFTR home the metal clip to the heel synonymous with the brand along with contrasting branding embossed to the side panels and tongue.
