Twice a year Germany’s capital is transformed into an international stage for fashion and lifestyle with The Berlin Fashion Week. One of the highlights in the diary’s of the fashion elite, this progressive fashion week is the place to be this July.

Running throughout Berlin Fashion Week July 2010, are the shows of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlinon Bebelplatz. Due to it’s growing popularity the Mercedes-Benz fashion week will take place for the 7th year in a row, and once more will present an eclectic mix of some of the top designers and names in fashion, such as, Boss Black and Christina Duxa Couture. Calvin Klein is planning their largest mulitbrand presentation in Europe and will present the Women’s resort 2011 Calvin Klein collection, as well as the men’s Calvin Klein collection for Spring 2011, fresh off the Milan runway.

Other highlights include the Premium fashion fairat STATION-BERLIN, the 5 elements.Berlin lingerie and bodywear fair, alongside which, runs Bread & Butter Berlin will take place once again at Berlin’s former Tempelhof Airport. This season’s Berlin Fashion Week will also feature the Bright streetwear fair, which just made the move from Frankfurt to Berlin.

Fresh from the Paris catwalk comes the new s/s 11 Paul Smith collection. Just as we are all enjoying the sunshine and gearing up for winter, the catwalks are awash with designer collections all showcasing the hottest looks for summer 2011! From Flower-print skinny trousers to bowed silk shirts and necklaces, – (Indeed had it not been for the model with a fetching full beard we may of questioned if we were in fact watching the womenswear collection) - this collection was full of the typical humour you expect from a true Paul Smith collection.
